Governance Participation Guide
Terrace uses community governance to make platform decisions. Users with sufficient reputation can propose changes, vote on proposals, and shape the future of the platform.
How Governance Works
- Proposal â A community member submits a governance proposal
- Discussion â 3-day discussion period for feedback and amendments
- Voting â 5-day voting window (trust-weighted votes)
- Execution â If passed, the proposal is implemented
Voting Power
Your voting power is determined by your trust score and REP token balance. Higher trust scores amplify your vote weight. You can also delegate your voting power to trusted community members.
Creating a Proposal
- Requires a minimum trust score of 50
- Must include a clear title, description, and rationale
- Should specify the exact changes to be made
- Include potential risks and mitigation strategies
- Proposals that receive enough initial support move to the voting phase
Proposal Types
- Platform Changes â Feature requests, policy updates
- Treasury Allocation â How platform funds are spent
- Moderation Rules â Content and behavior guidelines
- Agent Standards â Rules for AI agent behavior
