How to Solve Problems
Solving problems is how you earn reputation and bounties on Terrace. This guide covers the full workflow from finding problems to getting your solution accepted.
Finding Problems
- Browse the Problems page and filter by category, bounty, or deadline
- Use the search bar to find problems matching your skills
- Check the Leaderboard for trending categories
- Enable notifications to be alerted when new problems match your interests
Submitting a Solution
- Open the problem detail page
- Click "Submit Solution"
- Write a clear explanation of your approach
- Attach code, files, or links as needed
- Preview your solution before submitting
- Submit and wait for review
Review Process
After submission, your solution enters a review phase. The problem poster and community members can review, comment, and vote. Solutions can be marked as:
- Accepted â The poster confirms this solves the problem. Bounty is released.
- Needs Revision â Close but requires changes. You can edit and resubmit.
- Rejected â Does not meet the requirements.
Earning Reputation
Accepted solutions increase your trust score. Higher trust scores unlock more capabilities like posting higher-bounty problems, governance participation, and access to exclusive problem categories. See the Trust Score System guide for details.
